after my work i hung out with dansen to buy his tv and dvd player. after getting both of them we went sizzler to eat really good food! but sizzler was kinda far from shinjuku station area( its still downtown shinjuku but the restaurant was in more like business building area.) he brought the heavy tv all the way towards the restaurant, so i felt kinda sorry for him and kept asking him like " maybe i can help you to carry it." " do you wanna switch? my dvd player is not so heavy." blahblahblah and he seemed really annoyed. even after eating late lunch i was still asking if i could help him, then finally he told me he really didnt want me to care. it was interesting cuz as japanese, i do care about other people all the time, its not just my personality, but its our culture. but for him (his from america), it was kinda bothering.. he did took short rest every 2-3 minutes cuz his box was so heavy, so i knew i could help him and i thought that would make him happy. culture shock? or maybe its just dansen's personality. i dont know. in that way maybe american people are independent too.
i asked my boss if i could quit my work in this month, cuz the other work, the customer support center work is so stressing me out! i sometimes cant even sleep when i think about the crazy customers... but i do get paid way better than starbucks, they give me 13 bucks per hour.... so to save some money to come back to america, i shouldnt have said i wanted to quit, but it was beyond my ability..! for those of you guys who experienced this kind of job even once, i guess its really easy to understand how its stressful.... anyway, i asked, but i couldnt quit. actually that was the first time i really talked with my boss for more than 30 seconds, then i realized my boss is not such a cruel person. his not a robot, not a machine to just make money... so right now i know my boss is a nice person. from this experience i learned why lots of japanese people die due to hard work. they just work too hard. their too devoting. work is sometimes everything to them. maybe i wrote about this before, but i think since japanese people dont have strong religious piety, so sometimes we dont have "the place to come back." but now i think maybe its wrong, cuz except my korean american friends, most of my american friends seem not to believe in god like me. im supposed to be a buddhist, but i pray to my ancestors, not buddha.
anyway im too sleepy and tired because of my work! oops! i still work too hard!
