i woke up at 3pm today... two of my friends suddenly visited my house last night, and we talked until after midnight, and after that i was watching the tv about the war, and i couldnt really fell asleep... right now most of the channels in japan are reporting about the war, and now i'm thinking about the people who live in iraq, thats so horrible thing happening to them.. they, i mean ordinary people did nothing bad towards america, and why do they have to die?? there is no clear reason to attack iraq....
i was working at this coffee shop in tokyo one day. there are so many foreigners in that area, so i asked one of them about how he got his job in japan. the guy told me there are tonz of jobs for foreigners especially for english teachers!! he told me like for american people, maybe they can come to japan having tourist visa? i don't remember what its called, like normal visa for visitors and they can stay in japan for 90 days with that visa, so while these days, they can look up this english news paper called "japan times" on sunday and monday, and find many jobs so easily. after found the job, they have to ask their boss at work about issuring new visa for foreigners to work in japan, and they have to go out of japan once, and re-enter japan again having different visa. he even told me if dansen needs any help, he can help him!! but i'm not gonna work at starbucks anymore, because my boss told me to go to different one from the day after tomorrow... but anyway that was a really good news to dansen!!
i learned new english phrase last night. "nose to the grindstone". the book says "to work really hard". i don't understand why getting my nose to the grindsone means to workr hardly! in japanese we say "mi wo konani shite hataraku." means "i'm working really hard making my body into powder." that also doesnt make any sense to me....
