ive been thinking

ive been thinking about so many things these days.... first of all, people who got kidnapped in iraq. three people got kidnapped in there 2 weeks ago. one is a volunteer aid worker, another one is a photographer, and the other one is a leader of this ngo group. at first all the japanese people kept saying "please release them! they went to iraq to help iraqi people~~~!" and then, tv magazines, all the media was like "help them! help them!!" and the kidnappers demanded japanese government to pull their self defense forces from iraq other wise their gonna kill those three hostages. japanese prime minister koizumi said japanese army is never gonna withdraw from iraq, and other government people were also saying something like " theres no reason to come back!" so the whole japanese people got so upset to our government, for thier icy cold policy, but finally these hostages were released last week by help of musrim pastors or somebody religious.

then, people started to complain like " government should charge those three for the cost of helping them!!" their opinion is like this; japanese government kept alarming japanese people not to go to iraq because its not safe now. but those three went, so they did that under their own responsibilities, so its all their fault. why do we have to pay tax for that. blahblahblah." i was so surprised there are actually so many people saying that.
i think before that, we should be proud of those three people. i hope if i could, but im sure i can never go to iraq to help those people who are suffering. those three already knew iraq was really dangerous, but they went there to help people. i want people to think about that. and also, after coming back from the states, i was always thinking, how people got colder compared to before. maybe thats because im working in roppongi where rich people live, but seriously there are so many crazy selfish people in japan. too many. expecially in roppongi, i think, those selfish people think its american modern way of thinking or something. individualism. capitalism. really american.
but the biggest difference between japan and america, i think, is, people in japan are always afraid of others. for example, on the street when somebody smiles at you, you smiles them back, when somebody says hi to you, even you dont know them you ( maybe just me?) say hi too. but that kind of thing never happens in this country, people are always trying not to see others in trains, on the street all the time. even when you hit somebody in a crowded train, people never say "excuse me" "sorry" ... i think its horrible. its just our culture thing, but you never know whos nice and whos not, of course you cannot judge people by that, but i think japan is scary that way. ahh. maybe im wrong. i dunno.

i was gonna talk about the second and third things, but im just too tired, i should stop thinking in english!!! i have work tomorrow too! uh-!
