mint, well done

its still really hot and humid in tokyo these days, especially today... ah, it was so damn hot! i have no idea how long this summer is gonna last.. it seems like forever.

i was having breakfast with ann this morning. she started to learn japanese finally also im currently learning italian, spanish and english.... im always really comfused, because italian and spanish share so many words... so she is studying japanese and i was surprised at her japanese pronounciation. because we (japanese and italian) both have same vowel, so when you read our languages, it sounds really similar even though we use totally different words and grammars... i think its cool!
also my friend koji just came back to work at starbucks, and recently he was missing without really explaining why, but today when i saw him he looked good. so im happy about that.

then i went to harajuku to say good bye to kelly who was coming back to los angeles this afternoon.... me, aya and kelly went to bunkaya zakkaten, which sells bunch of weird stuff and went to cafe right next to the store, and i had sandwitch and they were drinking beer! for lunch! woo!

we were also hanging out together with ueno-chan and dansen and their friends, we went drinking to gompachi, and this place was totally like "kill bill"!! at the very last scene, uma therman finally meets lucy liu at the japanese restaurant and kills lots of samurais... yeah that restaurant. the movie set was just inspired by this restaurant gompachi, so it was so cool. the picture below is kelly trying to have soba ( japanese noodle) just like spaghetti using her chopsticks! it was so funny, she was winding up her chopsticks to get soba around them, so cool!

after that we went to another place to have some more drinks with ayas cousin and her "english" boyfriend... he doesnt like to be called "british" guy, so i should call him as a english guy... and he kept saying "mint." and "well done." for me its still really hard to understand their standard english...
its so interesting, cuz we, annarita who is from italy, kelly, dansen who are from america, and joe who is from england, and me from japan, we all speak english but really different...

oh, then my friend takeya just called me before from australia! his visiting there with his parents right now, and he suddenly gave the phone to a woman and she talked to me saying "hello? ki~?" in english i thought it was some australian woman he met there or something and i switched to english, then she said, "ku-wa-cha--n!" and i realized its his mother... she is a bit hyper and weird all the time, but i really like her. also, his dad used to take dansen's english classes at nova! so funny! and takeya asked me to say thank you to dansen for teaching his dad good english. he said how his dad is using those phrases! ooo
