train derailment accident in amagasaki

last monday, in the height of morning rush, a commute train derailed and crushed into an appartment besides the railroad. 107 people died so far, and this is the worst train wreck i could remember in my life... so far it is said the main reason of this accident is, ironically this japanese perfect transportation system... because its so accurate, always on time, when its late even only for a minute or so, the customers get so mad. when the accident happened, the train was 90 seconds behind the schedule. ONLY 90 SECONDS!! so the driver had to speedup, and the train couldn't negotiate the curve.... this railway company was forcing their drivers to be accurate on their tight tight schedule, now mass medias are saying the driver is also one of the victims.
after this tragedy, even in tokyo, which is far away from amagasaki, obviously there are far less people in the 1st and 2nd cars where most of the people died by that accident, when i take trains in the morning time. i don't wanna be there either.
this accident happened very close to C and M's house, where me and dansen visited last summer. we took that line on the way back from their house... hope none of their friends are involved, also, hope nothing like this will happen.
