marucan in los angeles

my cute friend from the coffee shop i used to work, maruchan was visiting me this week. she left to japan early this morning, i am terribly missing my friend already!!!
me and her and leti went to ikea in burbank on tuesday. since maruchan really really loves furnitures especially from northern european countries, also leti is moving in with alex this fall, so it was really really really fun! on the way back home we got off at hollywood, went to in and out to have dinner. that reminded me one day, 3 years ago with yunhee and dansen. we all went to that hamburger shop to eat altogether!! dansen treated all of us. it was really awesome. ahh time flies.

then we came home, i studied for little bit, then woke up, went to school, skipped nutrition class in the afternoon and went to UCLA to pick up maruchan. went to this organic cafe in bevery hills, then we went to see HOLLYWOOD SIGN. i didnt know exactly how to get there, like you can see the sign from everywhere if your like around wilshire towards hollywood, but i didnt know the exact street name which goes thorough the sign. i asked couple of people near griffith park who seemed like local ones, then finally a middle-aged lady knew it and told us how to get there. it was really awesome!!! then we went down on the other side of hollywood mountains, figured out we were in valley area already, so took 101 to get back to east hollywood. right next to E-LARGE store on vermont, there is a really really cool shirt store. we were looking for a parking and accidentally entered to a valet parking, so i went out and this guy suddenly started running toward us, so we both got kinda scared, but we figured out he was such a nice guy offering free parking there!! from guagtemala! very cool. after that we went to marc jacobs store in bevery hills, then all the shoes were 70% off!! and more amazing thing is, one of the shop staff was JAPANESE!! well she was born and raised here so she doesnt speak much japanese, also she doesn't really look like japanese either since her dad is not asian. it was really cool!! she was super nice.

then we jumped up to 10, came back to west LA, grabbed BANANA-BERRY from jamba juice, drove to venice beach. we almost missed the sunset, but it was still really beautiful!! then came back home, took a rest for a little bit, went to korea town HODORI which is on olympic and vermont, got galbi and bibimbap. i just remembered i've been there with yunhee and bo and dansen 3 years ago too!

it was already past 11pm. then came back home, met leti, showed her how gekiochikun (a sponge i asked maruchan to buy and bring from japan) is amazingly cool. its a sponge which was i think invented in germany, no detergent, but the fabric itself is amazing and just to absorb some water in it, if you wipe something dirty, everything comes off! leti said its Mr. Easy-coming-off! thats a funny name.

then i studied for a little bit and went to sleep. its already today.

i really wanted to introduce my friend kenchan, who is seriously like an identical twin with the guy who used to work with us at the coffee shop. but i couldn't make it!!

last weekend me, leti, and other friends went to hollywood bowl to see arcade fire! it was almost over when we got there since we parked far away, but it was still so much fun! we bought lots of food at trader joes on la brea, also carla brought some really good cake and strawberry with chocolate dip, anyway it was like a picnic. very fun!!!

i can't wait to go to sleep tonight... i havent slept much this week since sunday night. like 3-4 hours a day. right now im having a tic on my face... i look horrible.

dansen told me his got a cold sore on his lip. kamilla was having the one 2 weeks ago when we went to vegas, its like they are sharing the pain or something!! kamilla said it feels like a giant bug landed on her lip or something. well also said it kinda looks like angelina jolie. she is so funny.
